At Gentle Heart Acupuncture techniques are infused together in one treatment
-
Acupuncture has been practiced for more than 2,500 years. It uses the body's natural energy called Qi to stimulate a healing response. Qi flows through specific pathways called meridians that connect to the organs. Disease is created when this energy is not flowing properly. The Qi can be stuck, going in the wrong direction, deficient, or too strong. Many internal and external forces like diet, exercise, stress level, body posture, trauma, belief systems, and many others can affect the flow of the Qi.
Issues with the body's flow can cause pain, infertility, digestive disorders, migraines, psychological disorders, allergies, and other issues. Along these pathways are points where sterile, single-use acupuncture needles are gently inserted. These points have connections to the pathways that help adjust the Qi to its proper state. Once the Qi is flowing, health is restored.
